- I took the initiative to develop and establish in-house web accessibility best-practices, and guidelines for our sites to continue reaching all readers.
- Present design concepts to stakeholders and discussed as part of this process.
- Integrate design into new products and maintain brand consistency across all deliverables.
- Involved with planning new ways to bring value to new and existing materials in digital. This includes microsites, promotional campaigns and other assets.
- Work closely with our editorial teams to identify ways we can grow our product.
- Actively cultivate our team culture by curating and promoting Lunch and Learn workshops.

Teachers and Students: People, Purpose and Process.
Designs are made with the user experience in mind and were informed by visiting classrooms, and conducting interviews with the educators who use our products. Scholastic undertook a major redesign of all of the Classroom Magazine sites to create an user friendly experience.
The Scholastic brand entails marketing, microsites, e-books and the 24 classroom magazines.
A few of our measurable goals are:
- Create strong content hierarchy thus providing quicker access to monthly classroom magazine content.
- Increase use of products that improved the experience for teachers and students in and outside of the classroom with time saving solutions in the UX.
- Design new tools on the websites that integrate Google Classroom tools.
- Increase regional sales with our new products.
- Create systematic, time saving processes for internal workflow.
- Advocating for career growth for our team to learn new industry tools through workshops. This saves time and cost from outsourcing.
I provide art direction and create designs for marketing materials featuring diversified branded content. I also commission and art direct illustrations by Angie Garland for the digital experience.
Full design of the UI elements were implemented throughout the site.
